Walk through the front door of SWHS, and you'll hear it before you see it: spirited discussion resonating from Comedy and Tragedy class, the whirring of motors as students experiment with currents in Electricity and Magnetism, the joyous thumping of the drum circle in Music class, and the steady beat of hammers in Practical Arts. The halls are alive with learning and filled with students finding and pursuing their passions.

As we move from the information age into the conceptual age, the critical need for educational methods that develop thoughtful, engaged and articulate individuals with capacities for empathy, creativity and independent thinking is clear and urgent. For over 90 years, Waldorf education has been drawing out and nurturing these qualities in young people, cultivating the skills necessary for a bright future, while inspiring the desire for life-long learning.
